Silestone Kitchen Remodeling: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
Silestone kitchen remodeling in Orlando typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, depending on countertop square footage, cabinet scope, and whether we’re repairing a failed section or replacing the whole kitchen. Most Orlando homeowners we hear from start with a cracked seam, a chipped edge, or a Silestone slab that’s lost its sheen from years of hard Florida water. If you’re staring at any of those right now, here’s the full picture: what it costs, which Silestone lines this applies to, and what’s worth fixing versus replacing.
We keep this page focused on one thing: Silestone countertops that need real attention, whether that’s a repair, a section replacement, or a full kitchen remodel built around the slab you already love. Isaac Pruett and our Orlando crew have matched, cut, and installed Silestone across the metro for years, and we’ll walk you through this the same way we’d walk you through it in your kitchen.
Which Silestone Models This Applies To

Everything on this page applies to Silestone quartz countertops across their standard product lines: the Classic series, the Eternal series (which includes the ever-popular Blanco Orion and Charcoal Soapstone), the Loft series, and the Sunlit Days collection. The compatibility gotcha most Orlando owners hit is edge profile thickness. Silestone slabs come in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses, and a repair seam or replacement section has to match that thickness exactly or you’ll see it every time you walk past. Your fabricator’s label is usually on the underside of the slab near a corner. If it’s gone, measure the exposed edge at the sink cutout.
On the OEM versus aftermarket question for Silestone specifically: there’s no true “aftermarket” Silestone. It’s a manufactured quartz surface made by Cosentino, and a matching slab has to come from the same color and production run to blend properly. We order directly through Cosentino’s distribution network, which gives Orlando homeowners access to current stock. Older Silestone colors do get discontinued, and when that happens, we’re straight with you about whether a repair will stay visible or whether a full replacement makes more sense. We’re an independent remodeler, not a Silestone dealer, so our only interest is giving you the honest call either way.

Signs Your Silestone Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Hairline crack running from a corner or seam. Quartz expands and contracts with temperature swings, and in Orlando kitchens with unshaded west-facing windows, that thermal stress concentrates at the weakest point: inside corners around the sink or cooktop cutout.
- Seam separation you can feel with a fingernail. The original adhesive has failed, usually because the cabinets beneath it settled or the undermount sink shifted slightly. Left alone, water gets in and the seam spreads.
- Dull patches that won’t polish back. Silestone’s resin binder reacts to years of hard water, acidic cleaners, and direct Orlando sun. Once the factory finish is compromised in a spot, you can’t buff it out permanently, you re-face or replace.
- Chipped front edge on a high-traffic run. Impact damage from a dropped pan or a sliding appliance. Small chips can be filled, but they’re the weak point that recracks if the repair isn’t done with a color-matched quartz filler.
- Staining that looks like a water ring. Silestone is non-porous, so true staining is rare. What looks like a stain is usually the resin oxidizing under a hot pan mark or a chemical reaction to oven cleaner overspray.
Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A full Silestone kitchen remodel in Orlando typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, with countertop-only work landing between $2,000 and $6,500 depending on square footage and edge profile. Small galley kitchens in College Park or Audubon Park start near the low end; kitchens with islands, waterfall edges, and full-height backsplashes in Dr. Phillips or Winter Park run toward the top. If the rest of the kitchen is sound and it’s just the Silestone that failed, a countertop replacement on its own is the $2,000 to $6,500 range, material, fabrication, templating, and install included.
Every quote we write breaks the number down for you: slab cost, fabrication, edge profile, sink cutout, removal and haul-away of the old surface, and installation labor. No bundled mystery pricing. And like every Mason Remodeling project, you get a written price before any work starts and a written guarantee that covers the install for 365 days from the completion date. If something isn’t right within a year, we make it right at no cost to you.

AfterDIY or Call Us?
You can, and should, confirm the basics yourself: find the thickness by measuring the sink cutout edge, check under the slab for the Cosentino label, and take photos of the damage in daylight from a couple angles. That helps us give you a faster, more accurate first call. What you shouldn’t do is attempt a seam repair or chip fill with a hardware store kit. Quartz is a manufactured material with colored resin binders, and a generic white or amber filler will stand out worse than the chip. We’ve seen homeowners turn a $200 repair into a $2,000 section replacement with one overzealous sanding pass.
For the actual repair or replacement, the safe move is a professional. A Silestone slab weighs roughly 15 pounds per square foot. A standard 30 square foot counter is a 450-pound panel that needs templating, a dry-cut rig, and two to three people who know the material. We’d rather you call us before you hurt yourself or the slab. (850) 920-7745.
FAQs

A properly installed Silestone countertop lasts 25 to 30 years or more in Florida, with the resin binder holding up fine as long as you use trivets for hot pans and avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners. What fails earlier is usually the seam adhesive or the cabinet support underneath, which is why we inspect both before quoting anything.
Small chips, hairline cracks away from stress points, and separated seams can be repaired with color-matched quartz filler and clamping, yes. If the crack runs through a sink or cooktop cutout, or the slab is delaminating from its substrate, replacement is the honest call and we’ll tell you that on the first visit.
Most Silestone countertop replacements take one to two weeks total from template to installed slab. Templating takes about an hour, fabrication runs three to five business days depending on the color’s stock status, and installation day is usually four to six hours. That timeline assumes the cabinets beneath are sound and we’re not rebuilding anything else.
We order directly from Cosentino’s distribution network, which means current Silestone colors are typically available within a week in Orlando. We also work regularly across KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Kohler fixtures on the same projects, so if your remodel touches more than the countertop, we coordinate the whole scope. Call (850) 920-7745 and tell us your color. We’ll check stock while you’re on the phone.
