Belgard Fence Installation: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
Belgard fence installation in Orlando typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 for a complete perimeter job, and we keep the most common Belgard fence components on our trucks for same-week repair and replacement work. Most Orlando homeowners reach out when a fence panel has cracked at the base, a post has started leaning after a heavy rain, or the color has faded unevenly across sections. What starts as one damaged panel often turns into a bigger conversation about how the rest of the fence is holding up in Florida’s heat and humidity.
We’re an independent Orlando contractor, not affiliated with Belgard directly, but we install and repair their fence systems regularly. Isaac Pruett, who owns Mason Remodeling Co Orlando, has spent years working with Belgard’s modular fence lines across the metro area, from Dr. Phillips to Winter Park. Tell me what the problem is. We’ll figure out the rest from there.
Which Belgard Models This Applies To

Belgard’s fence systems fall under their Bel-Air and Manchester product lines, which are modular concrete fence systems designed to look like wood, stone, or stucco depending on the finish. The panels are precast concrete with integrated tongue-and-groove edges, and they slide into concrete or aluminum posts. That’s the key compatibility gotcha: Belgard fence panels are not interchangeable between the Bel-Air and Manchester series. A Manchester panel won’t seat properly in a Bel-Air post, and forcing it will crack the edge. If you’re not sure which line you have, check the post cap or the bottom edge of a panel for a stamped series code. We can also match it from photos if the stamp has worn away.
For replacement parts, we always recommend OEM Belgard panels when the fence is under 5 years old. The color match matters, and Belgard’s finishes are formulated per series. After 5 years of Florida sun, even an OEM panel will read slightly brighter than the surrounding sections, so we sometimes recommend a quality aftermarket panel with a custom color match instead, especially if the original color has been discontinued. The aftermarket route can save 20 to 30 percent, but the concrete density and chamfer profile need to match within a tight tolerance or the panel will sit proud of its neighbors.

Signs Your Belgard Fence Installation Is Failing
- Leaning or tilted posts. In Orlando’s sandy soil, posts that weren’t set with adequate concrete footings will shift after heavy summer rains. A post that leans more than an inch out of plumb is usually a failed footing, not a bad post.
- Cracks at the panel base. Belgard panels are heavy, and if the ground settles unevenly under the panel run, the panel’s own weight creates stress cracks at the bottom corners. Hairline cracks are cosmetic. Cracks wider than a credit card mean the panel is losing structural integrity.
- Color fade or efflorescence. Florida’s UV index plus our humidity creates a chalky white residue on unsealed Belgard panels. That’s efflorescence, mineral salts migrating to the surface. It’s not a structural problem, but it signals the factory sealant has worn through.
- Loose or rattling panels. Wind rattling during Orlando’s afternoon thunderstorms is normal up to a point. If you can shift a panel by hand more than a quarter inch in the post channel, the setting shims have compressed or fallen out.
- Ground contact staining. Sprinkler overspray or poor drainage keeps the bottom 6 inches of the panel wet. Over time, that band turns dark and develops spalling, the flaking surface you see on older concrete driveways.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a full Belgard fence installation in Orlando, expect $3,500 to $9,000 depending on linear footage, access, and whether we’re removing an old fence first. A partial repair, like replacing three or four damaged panels and resetting two posts, typically lands between $800 and $2,500. The range breaks down like this:
- Panel replacement: $180 – $340 per panel, including the panel and setting labor
- Post reset with new concrete footing: $90 – $160 per post
- Full post replacement: $140 – $220 per post
- Site prep and old fence removal: $300 – $800 for most Orlando lots
- Color-match sealing (optional): $1.50 – $2.50 per square foot of fence face
Every Mason Remodeling Co Orlando quote includes the written price before any work starts. You’ll see parts and labor separated. If we find additional damage once panels come off, we stop and bring you a written change order before continuing. There’s no surprise invoice at the end. Our workmanship warranty covers any installation defect for 365 days from the completion date, and if a repair fails inside that window, we come back at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
Belgard fence panels are heavy. A single Bel-Air panel can weigh 80 to 120 pounds, and installing one without the right lifting equipment is how people get hurt. We’ve also seen DIY replacements where the panel was forced into a post channel that wasn’t aligned, and the tongue cracked on the first rain-swollen day. What you can safely do before calling us: check your post footings after a heavy rain, note which panels have shifted or cracked, and take photos from both sides. That gives us a clear picture before we quote.
If the damage is a single cracked panel and the posts are still plumb, it may be a straightforward swap. If multiple panels show base cracking, you likely have a drainage or settling problem that panel replacement alone won’t fix. Call (850) 920-7745 and we’ll walk through what you’re seeing.
FAQs

A properly installed Belgard fence with sealed footings and annual cleaning will last 20 to 25 years in Orlando. The panel itself doesn’t rot or warp like wood, but the post footings and the panel edges where water sits are the weak points. Call (850) 920-7745 for an honest assessment of your fence’s remaining lifespan.
Hairline cracks can be filled with a concrete repair compound and color-matched, but any crack that runs through the panel’s full thickness means replacement. A patched structural crack will reopen with Orlando’s wet-dry soil movement. We’ll tell you which kind you have when we see it.
Most single-panel replacements are done in one visit, typically 2 to 3 hours including post alignment and cleanup. A full fence installation runs 2 to 4 days depending on the linear footage and whether old fencing needs to come out first.
We keep the most common Bel-Air and Manchester replacement panels, post caps, and setting shims on our trucks. Unusual color ways or the less common series get ordered from Belgard’s regional distributor, which typically reaches Orlando within 3 to 5 business days.
