Tremron Windows & Doors: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Tremron-compatible windows and doors across Orlando, with most replacement work running $4,500 – $15,000 depending on size, glass package, and how many units are involved. A single failed window or door panel can often be addressed same-week, not same-month. Most Orlando homeowners find out a Tremron window or door has failed the same way: a lock won’t catch, the sill is soft, the door drags against the frame, or the glass fogs between panes after a hard afternoon storm.
We’re an independent Orlando contractor, not affiliated with Tremron, which means we can match your existing units with OEM-spec parts or quality aftermarket equivalents and give you a straight answer on whether one unit can be saved or the whole opening needs rework. You’ll get a written price before any work starts, and the team that shows up is the team you were introduced to by name and photo.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron’s Florida footprint means most of the windows and doors we see in Orlando are their impact-rated and high-DP lines, built for windloads that inland subdivisions simply don’t test the same way. If your home is in Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Winter Park, or College Park, you’re likely looking at Tremron’s aluminum or vinyl impact series with laminated glass and reinforced frames.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha most people don’t know: Tremron window sashes and door panels are not universal across their product generations. A 2014 single-hung sash will not drop into a 2021 frame without modification. The label matters. Look for the silver or white sticker on the interior frame edge, usually top or side, which carries the series code, glass type, and manufacturing date. If that sticker is gone or faded, measure the visible glass opening, not the frame, and send us photos from two angles. We can identify most Tremron units from a good photo and the rough opening size. When a frame is intact but the sash or glass is shot, OEM is worth the premium because the tolerances line up. When the whole frame has water damage, an aftermarket impact-rated equivalent often outperforms OEM at a lower installed cost.

Signs Your Tremron Windows & Doors Is Failing
- Fog between panes. The seal on the insulated glass unit has failed. Humidity creep means the argon or krypton fill is gone, and the glass can’t insulate the way it should in Orlando’s summer. The fix is a new IGU, not the whole window.
- Door drags or sticks on the threshold. More often settlement or hinge sag than frame movement. But on Tremron doors we also see roller assemblies on sliders wear flat on one side, which makes the panel ride low and scrape. Adjustable rollers can buy time; flat-spotted rollers mean replacement.
- Lock won’t latch or catch. Usually the keepers and strike plates have drifted out of alignment, but on older Tremron units the multipoint lock gear strips internally. You’ll feel the handle turn with less resistance, and the door never truly secures.
- Water staining at the sill or drywall below corners. The weep system is clogged or the sill pan wasn’t flashed correctly. In Orlando’s afternoon downpours, this shows up fast. Left alone, it rots the rough opening and turns a $1,200 fix into a $6,000 rebuild.
- Window is hard to open or falls shut. Coil balance systems lose tension over time, especially in Florida heat. One side usually fails first, which makes the sash tilt in the frame. It’s a parts swap, not a full window replacement, on most Tremron series.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In Orlando, plan on these installed ranges for Tremron-compatible work:
- Single window sash or glass unit replacement: $450 – $1,400
- Full window replacement (includes frame retrofit and interior trim): $4,500 – $15,000 across a typical 5 – 8 window home
- Impact window installation, whole home: $8,000 – $25,000
- Sliding glass door panel replacement: $900 – $2,800
- Full entry or patio door replacement: $2,500 – $7,500, with impact-rated units running higher
Why the range? Glass package, frame material, second-story access, and whether the rough opening is clean or needs sill work. Every quote we give in Orlando is written, line-itemed, and fixed before we order a single part. No verbal estimate that grows later. The workmanship is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise, which means if the install is not right within a year, we fix it at our cost. You’ll also get a free return visit if the unit fails after installation, no dispute process, no conditions.
DIY or Call Us?
Two honest buckets. Safe to check yourself: the label specs, whether the weep holes are clogged, whether the door is out of square because a hinge screw backed out. Those cost you nothing and help us quote faster. Not safe to DIY: removing a failed impact-rated window unit with a laminated glass pack that weighs more than you expect, handling a sprung multipoint door lock, or pulling a sliding door panel alone. That last one sends more Orlando homeowners to urgent care than any other door repair, usually when the panel tips and lands on a foot.

FAQs

Frames typically last 20 – 30 years, but the insulated glass seals start failing between 8 – 15 years, faster if the window faces west with no shading. Impact-rated glass often outlasts the hardware first. Call (850) 920-7745 if your glass is fogging and the frame is still solid, because replacing the IGU is far cheaper than the whole window.
Yes, in most cases. Seals, balances, rollers, keepers, and weatherstripping are all repairable parts. We start there whenever the frame is sound. Call us with the label info or photos, and we’ll tell you which path makes sense before quoting.
A single sash, IGU, or hardware fix is typically a half-day on site. A full door replacement is a day. Whole-home window swaps run 2 – 4 days depending on count and access. You’ll get a written schedule with your quote, and a live person at (850) 920-7745 if anything changes.
We keep common failure parts on the truck: coil balances for Tremron single-hung and double-hung sashes, multipoint lock gear sets, roller assemblies for sliders, and weatherstripping profiles. Specialty IGUs are ordered per job. We also support other lines like KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone cabinetry and surface work if the window fix is part of a bigger remodel.
