Atlas Driveway & Pavers: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
If you have an Atlas driveway or paver surface that’s failing, we stock Atlas-compatible replacement pavers and driveway materials in Orlando, with installed replacement work typically running $7,000 – $18,000 for a full paver driveway and $3,500 – $11,000 for a paver patio. Most homeowners discover a problem the same way: a paver sinks after a heavy rain, a joint starts spreading, or a section of the driveway edge collapses where the car tires sit every night. You can call us at (850) 920-7745 and we’ll tell you exactly what we’re looking at, what it costs, and how long the fix takes.
We’re an independent Orlando contractor, not a factory Atlas outlet. That matters in your favor: we’re not here to sell you the brand, just to make your Atlas surface hold up the way it should. We’ve worked on Atlas pavers in College Park, Baldwin Park, Winter Park, and down toward Dr. Phillips. The Florida heat and rainy season treat pavers differently than up north, and we’ll explain what that means for your repair.
Which Atlas Models This Applies To

Atlas pavers and driveway systems in Orlando fall into a few distinct lines, and matching the right replacement part starts with knowing which one you have. The most common Atlas product we see is their interlocking concrete paver line, which comes in three thicknesses: 60mm for pedestrian patios, 80mm for residential driveways, and 100mm for commercial or heavy-vehicle use. If you’re replacing part of a driveway, you need the 80mm paver; dropping a 60mm patio paver into a driveway is a mistake that shows up within a year as cracking under tire load.
You can identify your Atlas paver by flipping one over. Atlas stamps a mold number and a date code on the underside of most pavers made after 2010. Older Atlas pavers from before 2008 won’t have the stamp, and matching those means measuring: length, width, and especially thickness, down to the millimeter. That pre-2008 Atlas stock is where we see the most mismatched repairs in Orlando, because the color blends changed slightly when Atlas updated their manufacturing line. We match by taking a chip sample from your existing paver and comparing it against our supplier’s current Atlas color swatches under natural light.
OEM vs aftermarket: For Atlas pavers, we always recommend OEM or a supplier-specific match when we’re blending into an existing field. Aftermarket pavers that claim to be “Atlas-compatible” often get the color close but miss the surface texture and chamfer profile, so the repaired section reads as a patch for years. If you’re replacing the whole driveway or patio, a quality equivalent from Belgard or Techo-Bloc gives you more options and often better pricing, and we’ll quote both. For a partial repair, OEM Atlas match is the way to go.

Signs Your Atlas Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Edge pavers sinking at the driveway apron. This is the first failure we see on Atlas driveways in Orlando. The sand base washes out from under the edges during heavy summer rain, and the pavers tilt outward. Left alone for another wet season, the edge collapses entirely.
- Joint sand washing out after every rain. If you see sand trails running across your driveway after a storm, the polymeric sand in the joints has failed. Water is now moving under the pavers, not over them. In Orlando’s rainy season, this accelerates fast.
- Cracks running across multiple pavers in a line. A single cracked paver is normal wear. A crack line running through three or four pavers in a row means the base underneath has shifted or was never compacted properly. The pavers aren’t failing; the foundation is.
- Color fading or surface flaking. Atlas pavers have good UV resistance, but after 12 – 15 years of Central Florida sun, the color oxidizes and the top surface can spall. This is cosmetic for a while, but flaking pavers are doing the work of far thinner material and will eventually split under weight.
- Standing water or pooling after rain stops. Properly installed Atlas pavers shed water within an hour. Pooling means the sub-base is holding water or the surface has settled into a low spot. In Orlando, standing water on pavers also means mosquito breeding and algae staining.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For Atlas driveway and paver repair in Orlando, here’s the honest price range we quote:
- Partial paver repair (under 100 sq ft): $700 – $2,500 installed. This covers lifting the bad section, re-compacting the base, replacing broken pavers with matched Atlas stock, and re-sanding joints.
- Full driveway base repair and re-set: $3,500 – $8,000. We pull the entire driveway, fix the sub-base, reset every paver, and re-compact. This is the repair most Atlas driveways in Orlando need after 10 – 15 years, not a full replacement.
- Full paver driveway replacement: $7,000 – $18,000. New Atlas or equivalent pavers, new base, new edge restraints, new joint sand. The range depends on square footage, paver thickness, and whether we need to rebuild the driveway apron to meet city code.
- Paver patio repair or replacement: $1,000 – $11,000. Small spot repairs on the low end, full teardown and rebuild with new pavers on the high end.
Every quote we write in Orlando includes parts, labor, haul-away of old material, and re-compaction of the base. The price we give you in writing is the price you pay; we don’t do change orders unless you ask us to expand the scope. The workmanship warranty runs 365 days from completion. If a paver sinks or a joint fails in that window, we come back and fix it at no charge.
Call (850) 920-7745 and we’ll come measure. There’s no charge for the estimate, and we’ll put the number in writing before you decide anything.
DIY or Call Us?
For Atlas pavers, there’s a real line between what an Orlando homeowner can safely do and where a DIY repair creates a worse problem. You can safely do this: clean and re-sand joints that are thinning but not washed out, pull a single cracked paver and drop in a replacement if you have a spare, and keep your edges clear so water drains. None of these involve machinery or structural change.
Where DIY goes wrong is the base. Pavers only fail when the base fails, and fixing a base means cutting out the section, excavating to depth, re-compacting with a plate compactor, and laying geotextile fabric before the pavers go back. If you skip the plate compactor and just add sand, the repair lasts one Orlando rainy season. That’s the repair we get called out to fix. If your pavers are sinking, spreading, or cracked in lines, call us at (850) 920-7745 before you dig. Tell me what the problem is. We’ll figure out the rest from there.
FAQs

In Orlando’s climate, a properly installed Atlas paver driveway with an 80mm paver and compacted base should last 20 – 30 years before needing major work. The pavers themselves will go that long; what typically fails first in Central Florida is the sand base, which washes out after 10 – 15 years without maintenance. Regular re-sanding and edge checks in the dry season will stretch that considerably. Call (850) 920-7745 if you want us to look at yours and tell you honestly how much life it has left.
Yes, most cracked Atlas pavers can be swapped individually for a matched replacement, and faded pavers can often be restored with a paver sealer and color enhancer rather than replaced. The repair path makes sense when the base underneath is still solid. If the cracking is from base failure, replacing the paver only buys you a year. We’ll tell you which situation you’re in before we quote anything.
Most partial Atlas paver repairs in Orlando take one to two days. A full driveway base repair and re-set takes two to four days, depending on square footage and how much base we need to rebuild. Full replacement typically runs three to five days from demo to final compaction. Weather delays us more than anything else in Orlando, since joint sand and compaction both need dry conditions.
We keep the most common Atlas paver sizes and blends in our Orlando stock, and we can order any Atlas line through our supplier network within three to five business days. If you have the mold number or a chip sample, we can confirm a match before we order. Call (850) 920-7745 and describe what you need; we’ll check stock while you’re on the phone.
