Owens Corning Driveway & Pavers: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Owens Corning-compatible driveway pavers and hardscape materials throughout Orlando, with typical installed paver driveway work running $7,000 – $18,000 depending on square footage, base prep, and access. Most homeowners reach out after noticing a section of pavers sinking, cracking at the edges, or shifting after heavy rain. We can usually diagnose the issue in one visit, tell you exactly what it will cost to fix, and put that number in writing before any work starts. Call (850) 920-7745 and tell us what you’re seeing.
Mason Remodeling Co Orlando is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with Owens Corning, but we work with their paver and hardscape lines regularly because they hold up well in Central Florida’s heat and wet season cycles.
Which Owens Corning Models This Applies To

Owens Corning’s hardscape line is less about model numbers and more about paver series and dimensions. The big three in Orlando are the Classic Paver (a rectangular unit, typically 4″ x 8″ or 6″ x 9″), the Holland Stone (a smaller rectangular paver that interlocks tightly for driveways with tight turning radii), and the Permeable Paver series, which is becoming more common in Orlando neighborhoods with strict stormwater rules. If you don’t know your series, check the underside of a loose paver. Owens Corning stamps a lot number and dimensional code there, usually a string like “OC-6X9-HOL” pressed into the concrete. Take a photo and bring it, or text it to us before we come out. It saves a trip.
On OEM versus aftermarket: Owens Corning pavers are concrete units. Aftermarket equivalents from a local Orlando block plant can match the dimensions but rarely the color blend after the originals have sat in Florida sun for five years. We recommend OEM or an exact-match blended batch for visible driveway sections. For base or hidden courses, a quality aftermarket unit works fine and costs about 20 – 30% less per square foot. We’ll be straight with you about which one makes sense.

Signs Your Owens Corning Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Paver edges are sinking or “lipping” where the driveway meets the garage slab. In Orlando, this is almost always a base failure, not a paver failure. Rain from our summer downpours migrates under the edge, washes out the sand base, and the first course of pavers settles. The fix is lifting, re-compacting, and re-setting, not replacing every paver.
- Hairline cracks running across individual pavers, usually in a diagonal pattern. That’s a concrete paver absorbing vehicle weight unevenly because the bedding sand below has thinned out. One cracked paver usually means several more will follow within a season.
- Sand is washing out between joints after every rain. Orlando’s rainy season is brutal on joint sand. Polymeric sand, which hardens after it gets wet, is the right fix here. If regular sand was used on the original install, you’ll see this every year until it’s switched out.
- A low spot that collects a puddle the size of a dinner plate (or bigger). That’s settlement, and in Orlando’s sandy soils it happens faster than in clay-rich markets. The fix is releveling the section and adding compacted base. Ignoring it only deepens the low spot and spreads the problem outward.
- Pavers shifting or spreading at the outside borders. The edge restraint was either not installed or has failed. Without a solid plastic or concrete edge restraint, the whole field slowly migrates outward under daily traffic. It’s one of the most common things Isaac Pruett finds on older Orlando driveway jobs.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In Orlando, a full paver driveway replacement runs $7,000 – $18,000 for a typical two-car driveway. A partial repair, say 100 – 200 square feet of lifting and re-setting, typically falls in the $1,500 – $4,000 range depending on how much base material we have to haul out and re-compact. If it’s just joint sand replacement and resealing, you’re looking at $250 – $700, and that’s a one-day job.
Every quote includes removal and disposal of failed material, new base aggregate (we use crushed concrete or limestone road base, typical for Central Florida soils), bedding sand, the pavers themselves, polymeric joint sand, and edge restraint. Labor is included. What you’ll see on paper is what you pay, and the price won’t change once we start unless we uncover something structural, like a broken irrigation pipe under the base, and if that happens we’ll stop, show you, and give you a new line-item number before touching anything else. Every job carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it fails within a year of completion, we redo it at no cost.
We also hold specification-grade material partnerships beyond Owens Corning, including KraftMaid cabinets, Cambria and Silestone surfaces, and hardscape lines from Belgard, Unilock, and Techo-Bloc. So if your driveway job widens into a front walk or a back patio, we can match products and finish it under one written price.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely inspect a failing paver driveway. Look for loose edge restraints, measure the low spots with a 4-foot level if you have one, and take photos before heavy rain so you can see where water ponds. That’s useful information for us. But the actual repair work, lifting pavers, re-compacting base, grading for drainage, and re-setting hundreds of pounds of concrete units, is not a weekend job. Done wrong, you’ll have the same failure again in twelve months. And if the damage is near a gas line, water meter, or buried electrical run, you want a professional with the right hand tools and a utility locate on record.
Tell us what the problem is. We’ll figure out the rest from there. Call (850) 920-7745 for a free estimate, and we’ll have a price to you in writing before any pavers come up.
FAQs

A properly installed paver driveway in Orlando should last 25 – 30 years on the pavers themselves, though the joint sand will need refreshing every 3 – 5 years and you may need a re-level in one or two spots after the first decade. Florida sun fades color gradually, but Owens Corning’s color is mixed through the full paver thickness rather than sprayed on the surface, so it doesn’t fade to gray the way some budget pavers do. Call (850) 920-7745 if your driveway is showing age before year ten; that usually points to a base prep problem, not a paver problem.
We repair sections all the time, and in Orlando, most driveways only need the failed section addressed. If the rest of the field is stable, flat, and holding its joints, there’s no reason to tear it out. We’ll tell you honestly if a partial repair is throwing good money after bad, but that’s the exception, not the rule. Estimates are always free.
A joint sand refresh and re-seal is a one-day job. A 200-square-foot section repair is usually two days. A full driveway replacement on a typical Orlando lot runs 3 to 5 working days depending on access, disposal, and weather. You’ll get a schedule in writing before we start, and the crew will be there when we say they will.
We carry a mobile stock of joint sand, edge restraint, and base materials on our trucks, but pavers themselves are ordered per job to match your existing color and series. Once we see the stamp on your current pavers, we can typically source the exact Owens Corning unit within a few days from a Central Florida distributor. If you text us a photo of the underside stamp before we come out, we can start that order the same day. Call (850) 920-7745 and we’ll talk through what you’ve got.
